The beautiful green countryside around Bruges, also called the “Polders”, with its many picturesque medieval villages such as Damme, Oostkerke and Hoeke are an unequalled cyclists' paradise.
Another idea for a daytrip is the Flemish coast, with its wide sandy beaches and some very nice seaside resorts such as the shopping paradise Knokke-Zoute or the family-village of De Haan.
Are you interested in the history of World War II, then definitely pay a visit to the city of Ieper and its Flanders Fields museum. Special dayexcursions can be reserved at the hotel reception.
Other cultural cities as Brussel, Antwerp and Ghent are within easy reach by car or train (max 1 hour)
